THE  GAME'S AFOOT
Set and Costume Design

by Ken Ludwig
Directed by Dr. Mary Jo Sodd
Pella Opera House- Pella, IA
Oct. 2014

Acclaimed actor of the 1930s, William Gillette, invites his Sherlock Holmes co-stars to his eccentric Connecticut mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration. When one of the guests is murdered, Gillette employs the persona of the master detective he’s made famous on the stage.

Set in Gillette's East Coast mansion in the 1930's and produced at local victorian Opera House.

RABBIT HOLE
Set and Lighting Design

by David Lindsay-Abaire
Directed by Dr. CD Adamson
Kruidenier Center Main Stage
Nov. 2014

Becca and Howie Corbett are a happily married couple whose perfect world is forever changed when their young son, Danny, is killed by a car. The Corbetts, both adrift, make surprising and dangerous choices as they choose a path that will determine their fate.

Set in the Corbetts home in the present. Used the simplicity of the home's setting to accentuate the lighting which intentionally drew focus on and off of Danny's room as the play unfolded.

Please check out the production page on the department website (I maintain and update  this as part of my department service).  The page has the Director's Note and explain the sustainable initiatives for this production.
